Install Qobuz on a Mac
These steps are for macOS 11 or newer. First identify the chip so you download the correct installer.
- 1
Check whether your Mac uses an Apple or Intel chip
Click the Apple menu at the top-left of the screen, then About This Mac. If the window says Chip: Apple M1, M2, M3, M4, or newer, choose Apple Silicon. If it says Processor: Intel, choose Intel.

Read the Chip or Processor line in About This Mac before choosing a download.Screenshot: Apple Support - 2
Choose the matching Qobuz download
Open the official apps page on the same Mac where you will install Qobuz. Do not open it on your phone or a different device, because the correct computer download options may not appear. Choose Qobuz for Intel if About This Mac showed an Intel processor. Choose Qobuz for Apple Silicon if it showed an Apple M-series chip.
Open the official Qobuz apps page

If something does not match
- 1
If Windows blocks the installer, confirm that its filename is Qobuz_Installer.exe and that it came from the official link in this guide.
- 2
If Qobuz will not open on a Mac, confirm that you selected the Intel or Apple Silicon installer matching your Mac and that it runs macOS 11 or newer.
- 3
If there is no sound after selecting a DAC, return to the normal system output, play a track, and then select the DAC again without an exclusive mode.
